Help With a Perpetually Overtired Baby

Dawn

Hi Everyone,

I beg you to please not pass any judgement because I hear it enough from everyone I personally know. My 6.5 mo old daughter is THE WORST SLEEPER.

Let me start by saying she is outgrowing reflux, we had her ties released, she has obstructive sleep apnea as well.

She goes to sleep independently in her crib so there are no associations. She just doesn't ever get the rest she needs during the day so she is constantly overtired and it repeats but her sleep debt just rolls right on over. No nap is longer than 30-45 minutes. She takes forever to fall asleep from being overtired. At night she wakes up every 1.5-2.5 hours from being so overtired. As a result I can't get her on a routine because nothing helps her sleep better. I work 3 jobs so she is watched by her very "couldn't care less" father and his parents, who all believe babies need to stay awake all day to sleep at night, babies only cry from hunger, and she is just too smart for her own good so doesn't want to sleep. YES SHE DOES! she rubs her eyes all day and night within 15 minutes of being awake if not sooner.

I have gone through multiple doctors, 5 pediatricians, and all I get told is I have a bad sleeper. I am so tired. I am sick of crying.

Does anyone have any helpful advice? Any experience similar? Anything? I just want my poor baby to rest and I'm so afraid about her development from never sleeping.
