Can I wrap cord around baby?

I’m just a worried ftm, I was wondering by me rubbing my stomach is circular motions, could that cause me to accidentally wrap cord around babies neck or body? And can you also feel the cord through your belly? Sorry I’m just wondering because I can feel something lumpy on my left side and it made me think it could be his cord. Rubbing my belly in circles can’t harm him right? I’m 33 weeks

My midwives and OB have all assured me that the cord is not as big of a problem as people make it out to be. They know how to handle it during birth and while in the womb it wraps around baby all the time with no issue. My midwife’s exact words were “that’s not a real complication, we expect it to wrap around baby at some point.”

No. And cord being around neck is quite common and docs, midwifes delivering know how to take it off while baby is being born, do that is actually not an issue in most cases.

No! Don’t worry about the cord. It slips on and off the neck all the time. It only becomes a concern during delivery when baby leaves the body and it tightens.
