Anyone had their baby shower just not go as you planned?

Yesterday had my baby shower! Worked so hard on it for weeks and weeks and put SO much money into it. It just really wasn’t what it’s cracked up to be I guess. I made a tie dye station and I had a chalkboard

With directions on what to do with these items as I spent a lot of them and worked hard on them and it just didn’t even get looked at, the whole station was a mess I laid down plastic to save my tablecloth and somehow they tie dyed my tablecloth I had made underneath and was going to keep! Kids spilling soda allover my porch, I made nice boxes with baby’s name on them to take pictures by and these peoples kids kept punching them over! While trying to open gifts I’m bombarded with kids tearing open my gifts and throwing my stuff on the ground and fighting over it. Half the time my SO disappeared inside to go sit in the AC because it was too hot, it was like I was doing it all.

On top of this my brother OD that morning. It to me was just a shit baby shower. I’d love to hear stories if you had a shit baby shower of how you saw the bright side…especially with this OD it’s hard to.
