Dr Appointments during covid??

I just found out I'm pregnant again, but the last time I was pregnant was 2016...I was wondering how covid is affecting Obgyn appointments for families? I will be calling my Dr office to confirm..but just curious. Does your Dr let your husband be with you? Maybe your older children? We have a 4 year old and can't really get anyone to babysit but don't want daddy to miss new babies sonogram appointments etc.

No one but me is allowed at any appointment not even the anatomy scan where we are. They wouldn’t even sch me for first appointment and dating scan until 10-12 weeks. I had a phone call appointment at around 7/8weeks . Only got monthly appointments. With my first they did every two weeks once hitting third trimester didn’t get to do that this time around. Here you don’t start weekly appointments until 38 weeks. No one but my birth partner is allowed in the labor and delivery after been Covid tested. my son isn’t allowed to visit even once I’m on the the mother and baby recovery ward. It’s actually really effected my husband he doesn’t feel like he’s been apart of this pregnancy like my first. He hasn’t been able to hear the heartbeat or anything.

I’m in Florida. My OB and primary allow my husband to come to every appt. The hospital she delivers at even allows up to 5 visitors once baby is born. It just depends on your city’s guidelines/your OB’s personal preferences.

CA here. My doc won't let anyone in but me, with exception to the 20 week scan, but that was only because our area had been improving in cases and easing some restrictions.

No visitors allowed at all for any of my appointments, and children under 18 (as visitors) aren’t allowed in the doctors office or the hospital.

I just moved from VA to CA and in both places my husband was allowed in for ultrasounds and during the birth, but no children are allowed either place. Not at appointments or the hospital. I had to leave my older kids with friends or my husband for appointments.

I was allowed my partner with me until recently, but anatomy scan this week I've been told nobody else is allowed to come :( currently, birthing suites are allowed 1 person only for birth partner and masks must be worn at all times.

At the practice I go to, I've from time to time seen women bring their S/O or a child with them. They've been allowed in each time and haven't seen any problems.

Everywhere is different. My OB and MFM have allowed my husband in for every appt and ultrasound.

I’m in Illinois and for my normal OB appts I can’t have my husband but for all my ultrasounds he can come. I don’t know how it is in other places though.

Depends on where you are. My office makes you come by yourself. They let husband or someone come during the anatomy scan but that’s it. If you can’t find a sitter you can’t come that day.
