Mommy has a cold, started wearing mask, will breastfed baby catch it?

So I have a cold and I’m breastfeeding my almost 8 week old, I started wearing a mask when I felt symptoms, but I know colds are contagious before you’re symptomatic so I’m freaking out. Has anyone ever experienced this situation? Thanks 🙏

Even if you have a cold, remember your breastmilk is especially made for your bubba. Your breastmilk has already created antibodies to fight it off for your baby. So if baby gets the cold, your breastmilk has absolutely everything he/she needs to get rid of it. Don't stress mumma. With my first, 2 years ago now, I got really sick with a cold and like you I freaked out, yes my son caught it, but he didn't get as sick as me because of the breastmilk. Just rest up and keep up breastfeeding. You'll both be fine.

My baby is four weeks old, my husband, my older two kids and I have just had a really nasty cold (floored my hubby for a couple of days).  Baby got a bit snuffly but other than that she’s been fine.  She’s breastfed too btw.

I was sick with a cold around 4 weeks. Baby didn’t seem to get it. Keep breastfeeding bc your antibodies will be passed along to her so if she does get it you may not even know bc her body can fight it right away or it may be much more mild

Before 2 weeks  i had cold and I don’t know how she catch it too (i was wearing mask and sanitize hands too) but still but i just used saline drop and clean with that bulb given by hospital ... it’s all clear and she feel better😊don’t worry

My 2 year old brought home RSV when baby was 4 weeks old. None of us wore masks and my husband and I got it as well. For adults it just presents as a small cold. I washed hands every time I touched my baby and sanitized constantly and she did not get it.
