Medication side effects ...spirolactone

So I'm on spirolactone for my acne it's basically a water pill. I've been on it a little over a year. But I think the side effects are getting bad. There's only like two side effects that bother me everything else I can deal with.

I am extremely tired all the time. I could sleep 11 hours, wake up and in 4 hours need to take a nap. And I'm never hungry anymore, eating feels bland. It's like I'm forcing myself to eat and it's not enjoyable/ok s a inconvenience. The sleep bothers me because I can't get anything done but it's upsetting because my acne is finally going away and I'm scared to be put on a more harmful medication.

I've told my doctor and she just lowered the dose, may have made it worse.
