Is it normal?

I know with a normal delivery you are seen at 6 weeks. So I figured with a csection I’d be seen sooner and again at 6 weeks just to make sure everything is healing ok. But my doctor wants to wait 6 weeks before seeing me. Is that normal? If that is normal can I request a sooner visit?

I’m UK. You would usually only be seen at 6 weeks (although the midwife will check you at each appointment with baby during the first 10-14 days). Due to Covid, my 6 week check by the doctor was conducted on the phone, so no one has looked at scar since 2wks pp. if you’re concerned about it before the 6wks, ask for an appointment.

With my first c section, my doctor saw me at 6 weeks PP. With this c section, different doctor, he saw me 1 week PP and will see me again at 5 weeks PP.

Mine were both at 6 weeks. If you are concerned at all during your recovery call and have someone see you. It's also a good idea to have someone at home who can look at your incision for you to keep an eye on it.
