Pacifier recommendation?

Question

We introduced a pacifier at about 3 weeks which my daughter likes and will help calm her down when she has a crying fit. However, she can’t keep it in her mouth and unless we’re actively holding it up to her mouth for her she spits it out and will cry. She’s 8 weeks now,
Can anyone recommend a brand we can try that she may be able to use unassisted? Kind of defeats the purpose when we have to hold it for her!
We’ve tried Mam and Nanobebe.

The bibs pacifier is extremely lightweight. Maybe that would help? My baby preferred the Avent soothies, so that's what we stuck with but she wasn't thrilled with it. We tried "suck training" where you stick the paci in and as soon as they start to suck, you slowly pull back on it which activates the sucking reflex and makes them suck harder. It seems to have worked for us.

My son takes the nuk comfy orthodontic ones pretty well. He was given an avent one in the NICU and will take those but definitely prefers the nuk ones. Also it’s not uncommon for babies to spit out their pacifiers when they are really little, I work in an infant room at a daycare and find most of them don’t really start holding it in their mouths without spitting it out until 3-4 months 😊
