Inducing hurts more?

Question

My doctor was telling me that if by 39 weeks my baby hasn’t came out I can choose to get induced or wait until it happens naturally but I heard getting induced is worse than doing it naturally, what do you guys think?

I've been induced and gone into labor naturally. Being induced wasn't terrible. I did end up getting an epidural. I didn't need it when I got it but they told me it was my only chance because the anesthesiologist would be busy after that.  I got one because of pain with my second and it didn't work at all,  so I feel everything.  So that one was more painful for me lol

It was worse for me. I had to be induced with my first because my water completely broke but I did not go into labor. Pitocen contractions are no joke. So much worse then natural contractions with fewer if any breaks in between. 
When I was able to go into labor naturally with my second it was amazing how much easier more quickly and more efficiently my contractions were and how smoothly my labor went compared to the induction. 
I'm hoping with this pregnancy I will be able to go into labor naturally again 🤞. Those last few weeks suck but it is so worth the wait.

Induction sucks. I’ve done it twice (not by choice). First one took 63 hours. Second too 34.

I was induced and honestly it was a breeze.  I’m nervous this time around that it’s going to be so much harder haha

I would wait for spontaneous labor before being induced and i would wait until youre past 40 to be induced. I went into labor at 39+1 and “needed” pitocin to keep progressing and the contractions were so much worse. I could still feel them through the epidural and needed to breathe through them once i hit a certain point with the pitocin

I've always been induced with l three of my babies and I didn't mind it. I loved knowing when they were coming and. It worrying about rushing to the hospital. But I can't really compare it to natural birth, all I know is with the first the medicine took forever to work so I didn't have contractions for awhile.  I don't really remember how it was with my second but my first is was super fast and didn't really hurt at all .

my doctor told me that unless it is medically necessary it is really not recommended to induce anyone before 40-41 weeks. the hospital where she works (baby friendly hospital) is very against inductions unless medically necessary. you should look into whether or not your ob works at a for profit or non profit hospital. obs who work at for profit hospitals have more of an incentive to push for unnecessary inductions.
