8 weeks, but something seems “off”. TW

Had a scan 1 week ago where I should have been 7 weeks… but it measured that I was 6w3d. Baby had a heart beat of 110bpm and doctor was satisfied with that.

Two days ago I had the slightest pink spotting which I wasn’t concerned with, but some cramps that were kind of rough…

I didn’t think anything of it until I scared myself with internet research and called my doctor.

They took me in for another scan and the baby shrank from last week, and the heart beat had slowed… how is that possible?

I’ve heard of babies not growing and a heartbeat stopping, but never have I heard of a baby decreasing in size while the heart still beats…

I’m just scared to death at this point and looking for some guidance… nothing has been consistent and I believe I will be switching doctors for a second opinion.
