Tips for feeding 9 month old better?

Question

My baby has been eating store bought purées since he was 6 months old. I’d like to start making my own, and everyone says it’s so simple, just blend up what you make for the rest of the family but I don’t make dinner every single night? I try, I really do but sometimes time gets me. I need help planning ahead and I’d love to feed him natural stuff. What do you use to make your baby food? Preferably cheaply. Tell me all the details! Thank you!

At 9 months, we were off purees. They can eat whatever you eat at that age.

I used either frozen fruits and veggies or fresh and just steamed them. My rice cooker had a steaming insert, so that got a ton of use. (I'd honestly never used the steaming insert much before) then just blended it in the food processor though a blender might do the job too. I usually did batches of stuff and froze it in a silicone freezer tray so it was easy to pop little servings out of. Or id mash up or cut little tiny pieces of what I was making for dinner. The little freezer stash I loved though. Especially frozen fruit purees since I mixed those with her oatmeal all the time to mix it up. I also hide her daily multivitamin with iron in her oatmeal as well as probiotics. She still loves popsicles too. Love doing layers of fruit purees and yogurt. My sister in law used to do veggie popsicles for her twins too.

At 9 months, just feed whatever you're eating. No need for anything special.

For purées I used a lot of frozen veggies and fruits for ease. But fresh really isn’t hard either. I got a baby purées cookbook for inspiration on flavor combos. 
I froze the purées in ice cube trays and the popped out and put into freezer bags. 
 It at 9 months I would definitely start introducing finger foods. 
Look into the Solid Starts app on suggested ways to serve finger foods to reduce choking hazards.
