IUD Spotting

So I know it’s normal to have spotting for 3-6 months after getting an IUD, but is there any way to get it to stop? I have been spotting for over a month nearly everyday since I got it. It’s really negatively affecting my sex life. My bf is very weird about periods and isn’t interested in sex at all if things aren’t completely normal. I’ve been waiting patiently, but I can’t wait possibly 6 months for it to go away, you know? This is my summer break. Anyways, I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to speed up the process. Ex: taking birth control pills for a while. Any suggestions would be helpful! 😁
