Anyone dealing with moderate/severe anemia while pregnant?

I’ve been having terrible symptoms and my bloodwork came back as showing mild anemia, but my symptoms like shortness of breath, chest pains, and vertigo are indicating severe anemia. Does anyone else have this? How are you fixing it? My doctor hasn’t called to discuss my bloodwork results yet.

I have severe anemia and it's really making this pregnancy hard. I have to take iron 2x a day. Make sure to take it on an empty stomach and with a glass of OJ. Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron better. Try to avoid anything with calcium around the time you take iron, it will make it harder for your body to absorb it. 
They will tell you to make sure you eat red meat, but sometimes they can be impossible if you have food aversions like me. I drink spinach smoothies, eat lentils/beans, green veggies, and honey bunches of oats cereal. The one I have contains 16.5mg iron in only 1 cup!

Look up iron and C-vitamin rich foods. They'll most likely put you iron pills and they can be pretty harsh on your tummy. If it's severe they might give you an iron infusion.
