Parents, please help.

My bf of 8 months wants me to start coming over to his house.. he lives with his grandparents and he asked if that’s okay they assured it was.. I’m such a shy girl, I can see myself wanting to stay in the room the whole time to avoid contact because idk what to say.. do you think that’s rude? If you allow your kids significant other to come over, how would you like them to be? Talkative? Or just to themselves, Is that okay? I just don’t want to start problems or make them think I don’t like them. I’ve met them before and they’re both so genuine and talkative! Sweet people!
