So now I’m a wedding planner?

So I posted about how we planned to visit my husband’s family out of state. That his cousin heard about it she decided to fly her family in from the other side of the country and turn it into an impromptu wedding. So now everyone is staying at my in laws house and another relatives house next door. This was all decided within a days time for them finding out we were coming.

So we’re leaving tomorrow to make the trip. My MIL tells me that now she and I will be picking up the cake and transporting it, then putting it together and finishing the decorations on it because the cousin didn’t want to pay an extra charge. Then they want me to do the decorating of the yard for the ceremony and basically keep an eye on everything the day of.

I’m finding this highly annoying because this was supposed to be a quiet visit with our baby and now it’s turned into me planning a wedding for someone I don’t even get along with. If I say no then no one else will do it. I’m barely excited for the trip anymore. I feel like I’m just traveling to do an event I’m not even getting paid for.
