I told my ex’s semi close friend I’m attracted to him

My ex and I broke up some time ago and I basically confessed to his friend just saying that I find him attractive. That was basically what I said . I ended it with I hope this isn’t too weird. What ended up pushing me to say something was that he was lowkey flirty with me. I wasn’t trying to be his girlfriend or anything I just wanted to let him know. He replied with “it’s a bit weird because he’s my close friend. But thank you for telling me” .. it’s obviously a no but it’s also kinda vague. It’s clear he’s a good friend. What are your thoughts on that response . I’m also just trying to move on too
