Period …..?after ruptured ovarian cyst surgery

Has any of you ladies who have had this surgery experienced bleeding heavily like a couple days after this surgery??I was thinking it was my period but it’s super heavy and bright red ,not a dark like period blood usually is

I know the doctor told me to either expect my period within 2-4 weeks after or super late

But I started bleeding 3 days after with cramping and pain ..just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this before I get worried and call the doctor
