Gettin baby to sleep
So once my little one (3 months) is asleep for the night she is a good sleeper, she’ll do about a 7 hour stretch wake to eat then go down for another 3 or 4 hours.
The problem is getting her to sleep for the night. I breast feed and here lately she has wanted to nurse to sleep, which I am okay with. But then when I lay her down she wakes up and we have to start all over again. I feel like on average I end up “putting her down” 3 or 4 times before she is actually out for the night.
I’ve tried putting her down drowsy, it worked like a charm one night but not since. I’ve tried waiting until she is in such a deep sleep that she is limp. She wakes up immediately.
I know my routine could improve. But we typically do bath and then I nurse while we read stories with her older sister.
