I need a lil advice

So I decided to start talking/dating a man in Alabama I’m in PA yes its a long shot and I’m full time college and full time work so Yes im worried it’s not gonna work! How ever I told my parents about him last night and I simply said he lives in Alabama! First you should know im 25 pay my own bills I just live with my parents for now till I graduate, my dads reaction was a normal reaction! My moms lol she looked at me and said nope not happening like I why is it her choice to make my life choices! Am I wrong for feeling like im not in control of my own life! Again im 25
