Does it get better?!

My daughter has been in daycare since she was 3mo and she’s been constantly sick. She’s almost 10mo now. Everyone keeps telling me it gets better but I’m really frustrated and tired of seeing my baby sick. She’s had RSV twice (once in December and just now getting over it again) amongst other viruses and ear Infections. She had to get tubes in her ears and adenoids removed in may. (I also work in this daycare) 
Any other mommas with kids In daycare have any positive experiences after the 1st year ? Its been really hard on us here and I feel like I’m failing my daughter ☹️

Oof. I’m sorry. That sounds terrible. I have a 2 year old and 5 month old. Both have been in daycare since 12 weeks, and we haven’t had any of those issues. Definitely the constant snot nose and cough, here and there, but nothing to the extent you’re describing.

My daughter was in daycare for about 6 months. She was sick the whole time, she would go every other week so she would come home for a week and get better and then return and come home sick again. Eventually since I was pregnant with our second child my husband said enough and we kept her home.

We’ve been lucky—nothing worse than a snotty nose, but between breastfeeding and the daycare staff masking and cleaning multiple times a day for covid, theres been less germ spread

Our daughter has been in daycare for almost a year now. The first 6 months were brutal, she has 4 viruses in a row, two hospital visits, and a constant runny nose. She was home more than she was at daycare tbh. It did get better after that, I think she had a nice stretch of like 3 months with nothing major. But she just got sick again. It seems to not be as bad somehow though, my husband and I also go it and were much more sick than her 🤧 so I think her immune system is getting super strong. Im hoping after this cold she will be fine for awhile. My friend had a daughter who is in a diff daycare and has only been sick once with a bit of diarrhoea.. I dont know how. But she lets her kid eat like dirty shoes and barely washes her. So i think her kid has like a super immune system just because of that 😅
