Intense pain 3 months after insertion

I got the Mirena in March. It was horrible pain for a week or two and then things went back to normal. I’ve had light periods/almost nonexistent since then but for the past week I’ve been having intense pelvic pain that comes and goes. My strings get tangled because they’re so long and every once in a while I have to adjust and detangle. I just did it a few minutes ago and started gushing blood. I’m just wondering if this is normal??? Should I reach out to my gyno or is this just part of my life now? Btw according to eve I should be on my period right now, so I wouldn’t be surprised but I didn’t start bleeding until after adjusting the strings. Ibuprofen helps but I’d rather it stop happening.
