Prenatal chiropractor?

Hi I’ve been having back pain and tail bone pain at 28 weeks and it’s not too bad, however it started like this with my first and towards the end of my pregnancy it was difficult to walk at work. I have a referral to a chiropractor who is highly rated and specializes in pregnancy. Idk why but it freaks me out to have someone mess with my back. I’m a nurse and work in a busy unit so really hurting my back would be devastating right now. Are any of you seeing/ have seen a chiropractor during pregnancy? Thoughts? Has anyone been hurt by a chiropractor?

I've been seeing a chiropractor regularly for 15 years now. The one I have now has seen me through two pregnancies! Never had any issues before during or after an adjustment. Naturally if it's your first time or it's a tougher adjustment you can have some soreness afterwards but it goes away within a day.

I’ve been seeing a chiropractor for the last several years even before pregnancy. I was always in so much pain, I thought I was just doomed to be in pain for the rest of my life. I couldn’t imagine going through this whole pregnancy without seeing one because of all the changes your body goes through

I worked in chiropractic for several years. I do understand why people have their hesitations but chiropractic is sooo beneficial for everyone including pregnant women. I had two back surgeries at 19 and 25 and although my surgeries were unavoidable I have been adjusted since then to keep the rest of my spine, hips, etc healthy and moving. I am a true advocate for chiropractic and will be continuing adjustments through my pregnancy. The doctors I worked for treat many pregnant women I’ve seen it help tremendously.
