Feeding Type?

I’m an exclusive pumper and I feel like not a lot of moms choose this route. I work 40-60 hours a week so it’s not logical for me to nurse. Even if I didn’t work full time, I have zero interest in nursing. Makes me feel like a bad mom because I’m not “bonding” with my baby…

I was an exclusive pumper for 6 months with my first. Him not latching, a low supply, and shit medical staff pushing "breast is best" made my mental health take a nose dive, and he had formula the rest of his first year. Tried again with my second pregnancy, and after 2 weeks, the same stuff started flaring up again, so our daughter has been on formula from the start.

Are you bonded with your baby? Yes you are. I don’t know why breastfeeding has to come with this huge badge of honor for some women. Just like having an unmedicated birth. Who cares? It shouldn’t be a competition. However we feed or birth babies is amazing. People suck. 
I had 2 vaginal deliveries with 2 epidurals. I breastfed my daughter until 18 months and on month 10 with my son. Pumping is hard af. That takes so much work and time.

I exclusively pumped for 5 months and had to stop because it was seriously affecting my mental health, so we switched to formula!

Pumping is hard work! I Ebf until 6 weeks, then introduce a pumped bottle daily so baby will take a bottle when I go back to work. From 5 months on I pump 3x at work every day, and once after baby is asleep so there’s enough for the next day. I also bf in evenings, and when they wake at night because I like to. It gives me snuggle time and comforts the babe. 
Fed is best. Whatever works for you and your family is best.

I had no interest in breastfeeding either. I’m sure part of it was the lack of milk production and me trying to recover from an unplanned c-section. I did pure formula when my son was 1 month old. No regrets at all!  My son and I have an amazing bond!! Do what works for you and your family! ❤️

I did the nursing/pumping combo the first time around. Honestly this time I plan to exclusively pump. Nursing is a LOT of hard work and you have to have the time and patience for it. I don’t blame you. You’re not a bad mom at all. Fed is best 💪🏾
