Why is fluoride so controversial?

The pediatrician wants us to give our daughter daily fluoride tablets because we live in an area without fluorinated drinking water (apparently most cities put fluoride right into their drinking water), but I don’t know much about it other than it’s controversial.

Listen to science, not social media users. Listen to your doctors or whatever medical professional is advising you. Seek a second or third opinion- but make sure it’s from someone who has letters after their name that actually indicate a degree of expertise on the subject.

Meh. I wouldn’t give tablets. I would think fluoride toothpaste is fine. The pediatrician has never mentioned fluoride as a daily supplement. The only one who has ever mentioned it is the dentist.

What are the fluoride tablets for? I had well water growing up, I got fluoride treatments yearly, sealants on my molars and brushed with fluoridated toothpaste which was enough for me 🤷‍♀️is there a reason fluoridated toothpaste or treatments aren't enough?

Fluoride toothpaste carries a warning and says not to swallow it, hitler fluoridated the water in the concentration camps and I don’t believe he was overly concerned about the health of their teeth

Fluoride is a neurotoxin and fluoride toxicity exists. Start doing your research to determine if this is the best choice for your child.
