Breech babies at 37 weeks? Am I the only one? ECV?

I just got back from my OB appt this AM and was told baby is still breech ☹️ OB doesn’t recommend ECV and would favor elective C-Section. I’m not ready to give up on having a natural vaginal birth. Anyone planning or had an ECV? Or am I alone?

My baby was breech my entire pregnancy and I did an ECV at 38 weeks. My doctor was super comfortable with it and made it seem like it was no big deal to try it. She had even said if it didn’t work the first time we could try again at 39 weeks so that I could avoid a csection if possible. It was successful and I’m glad I did it as I had a vaginal birth my first pregnancy and wanted to be able to this time too.

I’m still breech at 36+4 and having an ECV on Tuesday, and if that fails I’m going to attempt a vaginal breech birth because my hospital said it was the norm for hundreds of years until the 1980s and the risks are minimal

My baby was breech from January up until the end . They tried to flip her but didn’t work so we had a csection at 38 weeks on my 28 birthday !!

My situation is quite the opposite. My baby is breeched and I would rather have a scheduled csection than try to flip her again. She was head down for two weeks and decided she didnt like it and flipped right around to her original position.

I had a growth ultrasound at 36w4d and they found that baby was breach and my fluid was low. Unfortunately, because of the low fluid and ECV wasn’t an option so I had to have a c section. I too had been planning for an unmedicated vaginal birth so it was disappointing, but I know it was the safest option for my baby and I.
