Any success switching from Letrozole to Clomid?

Madison

This is kind of lengthy, but if you’ve had experience with Letrozole, Clomid, or both please read and give me any advice you have! 😣

I’ve done 4 rounds of letrozole: two rounds at 2.5 mg, next two rounds at 5mg. I had a Chemical pregnancy my first cycle and nothing since. I also take 500 mg Metformin twice a day for my PCOS.

My day 21 labs are coming back lower each time. I took this month off from letrozole to see how I would react — I got a peak ovulation test but my labs came back at 3.75 (higher than my last medicated cycle, but still way below where I need to be to maintain a pregnancy which is above 10, but ideally higher).

My options are now to take another month off and see if my levels continue to rise on their own OR do 7.5 mg of letrozole.

However…… I’m kind of interested in asking to switch to Clomid, I feel like I’ve heard more success stories with Clomid than with Letrozole.

Any thoughts? Encouragement? Anything? 😭

I’m feeling very confused and frustrated at this point because I do have a 2.5 year old who was conceived in 4 months on Metformin only. I know we are so lucky to have him, but we’ve been trying since he turned 1 for baby #2.
