Anyone have their second yet?

I’m 29 weeks pregnant and starting to get a bit nervous. Curious if anyone has welcomed their second and what that transition is like, or if they already have a second and can lend some advice. ❤️

I have a March baby and she’s just over 3 months old. My December baby has been absolutely amazing. I make sure I put time aside to spend with him, whether we just play with toys or cuddle or go to the park. He’s the best big brother and loves her so much. The only issue I’ve really had is him wanting me to hold him while I feed her, which I can’t do. He gets upset and will usually cry.
I think the hardest part so far has been losing sleep and not being able to nap when the baby does because have a toddler too. I also tried to leave the house today without the pram for the first time and never again 😂
But it’s honestly the most beautiful thing watching my big boy love on his little sister.

I have two kids, but they aren’t super close in age. When tinsley was born she was 3.5yrs. It honestly went easier then I thought. Definitely buy a good carrier (ring sling was a life saver). Make time for your oldest. The worst is just being so sleep deprived and not getting snappy with the older one out of pure exhaustion. Try to find time to spend one on one time with the oldest. Mine didn’t have jealously, thankfully, she was super loving towards her and only wanted to help.

My Dec ‘19 baby was #2. We just had baby #3 in April of this year. I think our transition from 2 to 3 has been harder than going from 1 to 2. We watch a lot of coco melon while I’m breastfeeding. But we just take it a day at a time and do the best we can. Good luck if you decide to go for it! 💕💕

I got pregnant with my son (my 2019 baby) when my daughter was 18 months old, so similar age gap for anyone getting pregnant with their 2019 kid as their first. It was ROUGH. Being pregnant chasing around a toddler, having a newborn and a toddler, their needs are so different from each other (like, you have to make real food for your toddler to eat AND feed your baby breastmilk or formula - maybe your oldest is potty trained so now you have to run after your kid to make sure they get on the potty, AND you've got diapers to change) but they both still need you so much. It was really hard. It still kind of is. But as with most things with parenting, all things pass. Now that my youngest is getting more interesting in a toddler way to my oldest (she's almost 4 now), they play together more and entertain each other more. We've gotten past the part where it's tough because of different needs, they basically need the same things (food, play, exercise, love, etc), and now it's just tough being a working from home mom in the middle of a pandemic lol. Now that I'm here and able to look back on it, I wouldn't change it (if anything, I'd have maybe had my youngest sooner - but you can only plan so much when getting and staying pregnant is involved!). There's so much love here.

Following as well currently 33 weeks scheduled c section for Sept 3rd I know this is my 8th believe it or not but it’s been 21 years since I’ve had my kids so close in age and I feel that with me being older my patience won’t be that great 😬😩😫

I just had my second a couple weeks ago in June. My 18 month old  adjusted well. He ended up transitioning to a toddler bed too as I had an emergency csection. At first though he was crying and whining for more attention. Now I make sure to make alone time for him while his sister is sleeping. I also let him grab diapers or a bottle sometimes so he can feel he’s “helping” with the baby.

Following this. I’m 32 weeks with our second. I’m really getting nervous to introduce this baby. We talk a lot about the baby in my belly. My daughter will hug my belly and say baby but I worry how she will handle any jealousy issues.
