Missed period

We have been TTC for just over a year now and this cycle tried a couple of new things. I was due for my period on Monday and it’s now Wednesday and still nothing. I ovulated a couple of days late this cycle and am wondering if I should be still expecting my period to come but just a few days late (today or tomorrow) as I ovulated a couple of days late or is that not a thing? We were so excited when I missed it but I don’t want to get my hopes up for nothing again.. thank you in advance!
