Transition to Crib ?

Question

Hello March moms quick question have you transitioned your baby from a bassinet in your room to thier crib in there own room if so how long did you wait for that?? I want to start my sons transition slowly but idk when should I start 🤔

We’ve had our LO in her crib since 1 month. She was the loudest sleeper and we couldn’t get any rest with all of her noises 😂 Her room is right across the hall from us so we can hear her easily through the night.

We switched when LO was 3 months - he was waking up at night because he would scoot himself and hit the sides of the bassinet and wake up, or the dogs would wake him up. Picked a night where I didn’t have to work the next day and decided to put him in his crib and he slept the entire night! Has been in there ever since and sleeps so much better. Same thing happened with transitioning out of the swaddle. Started to wake himself up escaping it, so finally just kept his arms out of it and back to sleeping through the night. I think the transitions are scarier for us than for them haha

Moved her over when she started sleeping all night around 6 weeks old..did the same with my first daughter. It’s so nice because they sleep so much better in their own rooms and then we don’t have to worry about waking them in the morning if we’re up first.

We switched from bassinet to crib at about 2 months because our little guy was waking himself up crashing into the sides.
But the crib is in our room not the nursery. We are going to wait until at least 6 months. The AAPs SIDS reduction recommendation is 1 year in your room but that seems a bit arbitrary to us.

Yes, when he turned 3 month old. He used to kick the side of bassinet and move upwards and later he would touch the top of bassinet. Once he touches the top he would cry because there was no more space to go up😂. 
He hated his crib in the beginning. First day he was ok. Sec day on he would cry the moment we put him in crib.
We made it a habit by putting him in crib for naps and night sleep in bassinet for a few days and slowely increased the frequency. He loves his crib now 😆

We did a week ago! Cold turkey, just tried it out a night and it went great. Second night as well and ever since then he has been sleeping in his own room and crib. 💪🏼
That same night we also stopped swaddeling him. That also went without a hitch. I am a happy momma 😁

I have! Once he started sleeping through the night, I switched him. I did the same with my daughter. She was right at 3 months, he was at 3 1/2.

I put my baby in her crib at 7:30pm and when she wakes up around 1 I move her to her bassinet. That’s working for us right now but she’s a big baby so the bassinet is starting to be small for her

We do both. Lo was sleeping well like 5 to 7 hours between feeds so I moved him to his crib in his room, about 5 ft down the hall. But after that feed he goes back to the bassinet. He is hitting a bit of the 4 months regression so he is in the bassinet more but most nights starts in his own bed.
