Mucous plug

Ftm here. This is gonna be a tmi post, but I just turned 35 weeks today and I noticed when I went pee earlier today, when I wiped it was very slippery like I had a lot of discharge or something. Then I went again about two hours later and the same thing happened again. So my question is, is your mucous plug literally like a thick clump? Or can it be thinner? I also feel like absolute crap today, like my back hurts very bad. So just wondering if anyone has experienced this. Thanks!
