Unmonitored IUI with clomid

Anyone else done an unmonitored IUI with clomid? I start my journey once AF arrives. I am a little nervous because idk if I am making the smartest choice picking unmonitored vs monitored. I ovulate on my own and I usually always get my peak on CD13. I started tracking my bbt two cycles ago and this cycle I got my positive opk and ovulated on the same day. So I'm super nervous on if IUI will work for me if I ovulate on the same day as my peak opk like I did this cycle. Also I am doing IUI due to male infertility factors. Any thoughts or suggestions or stories to share? Thank you!!
