Parents telling non-parents to not have children
I work in childcare.. and the ongoing theme of my coworkers is offhand comments such as:
•“and this is why you shouldn’t have kids”
•”anyone who is thinking of becoming a parent should work in a daycare and think again.”
•”if I worked here before I had children, I would have never been a parent”
How would these comments make you feel? Are they meant to be productive, or are they grounded in emotion and opinion?
