Looking to upgrade our infant carrier car seat to one that stays in the car! What’s everyone’s favorite car seats?!

I have a Graco extend2fit and quite like it, the cover is a bit of a pain in the ass though.

We love the Graco 4Ever. We’ve used it since my 5yo was 3 months.  Works through every stage of seat needed.

Just one thing to note about the Extend2Fit is that it really is intended for extended rear facing which is great! But it has a funny rule that if you forward face before 40lb you have to use a certain recline that makes the seat bulky from front to back, can be uncomfortable for some kids, and is actually incompatible in some vehicles due to overhang. 
You may not think that’s a big deal but 40lb may be heavier than you realize..  for reference, a child at 50th percentile (so right in the middle of the growth chart) won’t hit 40lb until age 5. So if you have an average sized child you could potentially be locked in to rear facing until age 5 with the Extend2Fit. If you have a smaller than average child you could be looking at being locked in to RF for even longer. 
If you’re ok with RF until age 5 or even later the Extend2Fit is a great choice. But if you’re not certain that you’ll RF quite that long (especially if you have a smaller than average child) you may want to look at other options.
