Order of Protection
My sister was granted an Order of Protection against her ex bf after she broke up with him. She was able to prove verbal and physical abuse as well as threats against her and threats of revenge porn. In turn, he tried to obtain one against her, but it was denied because the judge said there was no proof of him needing one (my sister did nothing wrong) and it was determined he was seeking one out of retaliation. My sister said he asked a very odd question at the end of the session...”If she sends me a threatening message can I try and get another order of protection?” The day his was denied, someone tried to access her FB at night...the access was denied. When she told me this, I looked at his social media and found he deleted everything but FB. Now, it may not have been him, but if it was I wouldn’t put it passed him to try and send fake messages from her account to his with threats. Then the following day, my mom called me and said a silver Honda Civic drove slowly passed her house (they live in a culdesac). His commuter car is a Silver Civic. My mom wasn’t able to catch the license plate. I want my sister to call the police to at least have them
document these strange occurrences so at least there is record of it. Has anyone else had a similar experience where they can’t prove it was someone, but was able to successfully at least have it documented by law enforcement? TIA
