Yours, mine and ours

I want to start off my saying my boyfriend is great- he’s so good to me. But I struggle when he calls things his vs ours. I recently moved into his house and I’m sure it’s just habit for him to say “his/mine” vs “ours” but sometimes it just gets to me.

Example- we bought pigs recently and him, my son and I all went to pick them out, brought them home together and got them situated. Well my boyfriend calls him “my pigs” or tells people “I have four pigs”. I just feel like it should be “our pigs” or “we have four pigs” and maybe I’m insane. Lol but this is one example of many and I’m trying to convince myself I’m overthinking it and maybe it’ll get better with time. Anyone deal with this??
