Toddler and daycare

How long did it take for your toddler to adjust to a daycare? Our 3yo was in a daycare from 18m to 2yo, but we pulled her when pandemic started. We went to re-enroll her, but were informed they’d be closing. We did a lot of research and found another great daycare. She goes 2x a week. I’m home during the summer (teacher), but wanted to start her now so when I return to work, there’s less transitioning going on. She cries and begs to stay home on daycare mornings. It breaks my heart. The teachers tell me she’s fine after a little bit and when I pick her up, she’s happy.
