Baby Jack , born 39+6 Husband made it just in time.

Due date was July 23, but on the 22 I started out the afternoon with a walk with my toddler to the park. I ended up carrying her and her bike back to the house because she refused to ride it or walk, so that’s probably what started my labour. Laid her down for a nap at 245 and started having cramping. Thought “I better get my bags in order” so I started gathering everything up and putting away laundry around the house. Wasn’t sure when to tell my husband to start driving, since he had a 7+ hour drive, he works away. Had a shower, woke my daughter up from her nap. By that point it was getting painful. I finished doing my hair (big waste of time lol) and asked my MIL to come get my daughter at around 7:30, packing her a bag was excruciating. Got in the tub once my daughter was gone, and stayed in for a while, called my SIL to come drive me to the hospital. Husband was on his way. SIL was an hour away from me, she got

To my house around 9:30 and we left for

The hospital around 10pm (1/2 hour drive). Checked into triage and I was 4-5cm with the head “right there” and water bulging. They figured if my water broke I’d have baby quick! Admitted me and got anesthesiologist up

To do epidural ASAP. It helped, but I still felt a ton of pain on the left side, the nurse figured baby was face up which was causing pain. Husband arrived at 12:30am and baby boy (gender surprise) was born at 1:22am. Husband just made it. Cord was wrapped around baby’s neck 3x.

Being GBS + I needed antibiotics, however because of how quick everything went it wasn’t enough time so now baby boy is showing some infection in his blood labs so he is on IV antibiotics until at least tomorrow (24th). We hope to get home soon.
