Would you mind if your SO forgot your anniversary?

It was our sixth anniversary today we have a five and a three year old the older ones birthday is tomorrow actually… He had no idea that it was our inversely I waited and waited until now and I slipped the card under his door.
I’m not shocked because if we sleep in separate rooms there’s a major problem￼.. but still..
The worst part is that he texted me after he saw the card that apparently he had told me in the morning which I have no recollection of!

If you guys are already sleeping in separate rooms, I’d be surprised if an anniversary is going to be at the top of his list of things to remember, unfortunately.

Why would you wait around for him to remember? If you knew it was coming up why didn’t you say something to him a week ago, two weeks ago, a month ago? If it’s that important to you then you might consider communicating that to him prior to the event.

If you're in separate bedrooms, sadly I think you have bigger problems than a forgotten anniversary..
My hubby and I were together years before we got married and I got the date and/year all the time 😂😂😂 luckily neither of us gets offended easily with each other ❤

Last year my husband wished me happy anniversary and I actually asked him for what before I realized what date it was. I had so much going on at the time I totally forgot about it. One year he forgot it and another year we both forgot, it happens it's not the end of the world. I wish you good luck in fixing you relationship. Don't forget communication is key, not just the talking but especially the listening part.

Our anniversary is 666 and we got married 6/12/19 so the whole month of June is dedicated to us and he absolutely hates our original anniversary date so he can’t forget it. If he did I’d be pissed

We’re big on celebrating things like anniversaries and dates so it would be super out of charge get if he forgot. I don’t need a million dollar celebration but a simple happy anniversary and a way of acknowledgement is nice.

My husband doesn't remember things like that unless I remind him about it. Last year I tried to see if he'd remember and he didn't until bed time lol it bothered me more that his whole family made a fuss for his brothers anniversary which is 3 days before ours and then not even say happy anniversary to us. It doesn't bother me if he forgets though

And this is why you remind them ahead of time and that way you’re not disappointing. Remind them three weeks, two weeks, one week, three days, day before, this is why men are on Christmas Eve at the mall, because they forget. We focus on the day today, and we forget the little things sometimes, but you need to remind them otherwise you’re disappointing.
