Has anyone ever had any luck finding love online?

I don’t go anywhere. Don’t have any friends and I work from home. So it’s not like I meet anyone. Has anyone found their SO online? And how? I never know what to talk about

My husband and I met on an app. But we both also met lots of crappy dates before meeting one another. My experience took time, patience, and perseverance. I met my husband on Tinder. I went into it knowing that I was looking for a relationship, but that *most* of the people on Tinder aren't, but that I also like sex a lot and hadn't had any in a while, and so I was just incredibly honest with people and gave them the opportunity to be honest with me. Some people I just generally didn't feel like we're being honest with me, so I didn't talk to them. Had a few one night stands with people I knew were not looking for a relationship, and because I was mentally and emotionally prepared for it to be just sex, that was fine, although well outside my usual comfort zone because I too am incredibly shy--pretty sure I did not make eye contact even once with the first guy, lol. And then I met someone who was open to a relationship possibly, and we decided to hook up and see how it went. We connected in a way that went beyond my expectations, and in him I found someone who fits with and complements me in ways that continue to amaze and surprise me. I think being honest, with both yourself and others, and, particularly if you're shy, being willing to go outside your comfort zone are pretty important to making dating apps work. Good luck!

That was 5 years ago 🥰 Turns out, we grew up in the same area, went to the same vocational school, and grew up knowing people in common lol. We had a really strong connection from the beginning.
