When should you transition baby out if a swaddle ?

My son is going on three months and he seems to only sleep when swaddled but when should I take it away?

We use the love to dream swaddle and both our kids have loved it. It gives them the comfort while still being warm. They also have transition ones for when you transition to a regular sleep sack.

For sure when they start rolling, at that point it becomes unsafe. I believe the recommendation is to transition out when they start showing signs of rolling over. 
We are planning to start transitioning our baby out of the swaddle/into sleep sacks very soon, he is just about 3 months.

Once he starts rolling, then you want to start transition out of swaddle or use swaddles that allows hands to be free/out. For my older one who’s almost 2, she started rolling at about 4 months and that’s when we started transitioned from swaddles to sleep sacks. We did the one arm out and then the other method. Plan to do the same with 2nd one when the time comes.

They literally make swaddles for 5 year olds. I plan on using mine with her arms out as long as she likes it.
