How many people wear tampons to bed?

I know it’s not recommended but I know a lot of people who do it and I’m wondering if it is safe if you are careful… and if y’all have ever had a problem with wearing one over night. Feel free to comment your opinions on it! Would like to hear

You can absolutely sleep with a tampon in. Don't go longer than 8 hours. Sometimes I push 9 but whatever. I usually time it so I will be up in the morning to change it. Pads are so disgusting to me I cannot wear them to bed by themselves. I'd have to wear a tampon too

Its not safe to keep a tampon in longer than 7/8 hours as you can get toxic shock syndrome- so as a rule I never sleep with one in

I use to wear menstrual cups to bed because they last longer than tampons (I have a weird fear of toxic-shock syndrome, I won't go over 4 hours without changing a tampon) and pads often seemed to leak and wouldn't stay in place, but a few months before I got pregnant I switched to period pants. Theyre so absorbant I've never had an issue. Put them on before bed, take them off in the morning, even on my heaviest flows I had no leaking.

I wear a depends diaper and a menstrual cup. No Shane lol. I do use tampons if I’ll be in public or at work because cleaning a cup in public is messy and I haven’t gotten the hang of it. I have to change them far before the 8 hr mark, but just keep in mind next time you feel like pushing it that toxic shock is very real and can easily be fatal.

Personally i thought it felt uncomfortable i like wearing thin overnight pads more. Plus im to paranoid to wear one overnight cause i dont always wake up 8 hours after i go to sleep.

Yes. I put one right before I go to bed, then I change it after few hours (I'm not a heavy sleeper especially when I'm on my period)
