CMV+ sperm donor??

I am only just beginning the path of finding a sperm donor for future CIC. My dr appt isn’t until October. For now can anyone tell me what it actually means for the donors to be CMV positive? Most of the donors I would really like seem to be positive. From what I read this is related to herpes; is that accurate? I do not have herpes and do not want to get it from donor. it said it would rarely transmit but not impossible. Is herpes skin to skin and not through sperm? Please share any knowledge you have on the topic or just using a sperm donor in general.
