I have loved this name for years. I wanted to use Nelle, but my husband wasn't into it. I like the name by itself. I don't really care for Ellenor. Ellenor is gaining popularity, but there are so many different nicknames to go with it, so if you really want to call her Nell, just go with it. Plus it sounds classic, but not too common. Love it!

My great great grandmother is Ellen, she went by Nell. I have an aunt named after her and they call her Nell as well.
