Steak question

I picked up my groceries Sunday evening at 5pm. I got some sirloin steaks and I put them in the fridge Sunday as soon as I got home. I was planning to cook them Monday or today but I've had a horrible headache and haven't felt like cooking. Can I still cook them tomorrow? (Wednesday)? I read steak is good for 3-5 days in the fridge. The sticker on the pack says "use or freeze by August 5th" but I just wanna see what y'all think? Still good to cook tomorrow? And obviously I will smell it before I cook it.
