Attenting Someones Baby Shower After Miscarriage

My husbands friend’s wife is pregnant and having a baby shower tomorrow, i was due the same month as she is now. My husband is angry with me as i have denied to attend her baby shower. I dont feel like going because i know it will hurt me and i might cry. My husband is attending the baby shower tomorrow without me. I wanted him to stay with me because i dont feel good. But he thinks being with his friend tomorrow is more important than my feelings, is what he doing is right ?
