Induction?

So me, the queen against unnecessary inductions, just met with her doctor yesterday.

I’m 30 weeks and sis wants to induce me between 37 and 39 weeks.

This is my second baby, first one came on-time, went into labor on my due date.

I dilated from 1cm to 7in two hours and sis was born less than two hours after that. Made it to the hospital just in time to still get my epidural.

She was literally coming out in the sac. Doc had to break my water. 6lb 11oz, no complications and no tearing. Easy lol

Baby girl #2 has bilateral pyelectasis, (dilated kidneys with fluid in them). She’s peeing but the fluid is backing up into her kidneys. I get monitored every two weeks now.

Docs reason for induction:

1. I dilated so quickly during my first birth, she’s convinced it will happen even faster this time and I won’t have time to get the epidural (I almost didn’t have time for the first one!)

2. She wants my girl out a little sooner so she can start urinating outside of the womb and fully evacuate the kidneys without all of the extra fluid around her.

3. She’s really convinced I’m going to have a super quick labor outside of the hospital and rather me be in a controlled environment where I can be induced and get my epidural, monitor the baby etc.
