Sub Chorionic Hematoma?

Question

IVF 5 day frozen transfer, positive doubling betas at 7, 9, 11, and 15 days past transfer. 
Numbers were 5.5, 8. 16.8, and 69 respectively. Low I know, but doubling. 
Today is 21 days past transfer, I stopped taking home tests on day 15. We had a previous chemical but it resolved with an hcg height of 17. 
This afternoon I had some intense cramping for about 30 minutes, and then I passed a pretty big clot (maybe the size of a quarter) with bright red blood. About an hour later cramping has completely subsided and when I went to the bathroom there was darker blood when I wiped but barely anything in the toilet. We had hcg drawn this afternoon as planned previously but Dr didn't do an ultrasound.
Is this type of bleeding/cramping typical for a SCH? Or should I expect a miscarriage is coming our way?

As others have said, an ultrasound can confirm if it is an SCH. I also had one diagnosed by my RE at 7 weeks but didn’t have any issues until 11 weeks. Stood up and a huge gush of blood came out. It stopped and had some dark red discharge for a couple days but kept getting lighter as time went on. Scared the crap outta me but remembered I had the SCH and felt much better. Didn’t have any more issues after that.

There is no way to know without the scan if it is an sch. But, it is common for ivf pregnancies to spot/bleed compared to normal pregnancies. 
I filled two panty liners at about 7 weeks. No clots or cramps. Then spotted old blood daily up until about 8.5 weeks. I'm now almost 10 weeks. No sign of sch. 🤷‍♀️ sometimes it just happens.

I had a large SCH diagnosed at 7.5wks, after I had been bleeding heavily (gushing/dripping into toilet) for a few hours with painful cramping. As the other commenter said, you would need imaging to confirm if it’s an SCH; bleeding can happen for other reasons, too. Regardless, the fact that the bleeding and cramping subsided is a good sign. Hang in there; I’m hoping for then best for you! 💗
