Am I changing my son wrong

Omg okay so I have a daughter also and obviously it’s way different when changing them. I just had my son 4 days ago and every single time he pees it’s allll over his outfit and bassinet. Idk what I am doing wrong. He’s in newborn diapers , he weights almost 8 pounds so they fit.

I have tried pointing it downwards when I put diaper on and it still happens.

Also every single time he poops he pees in the middle of me wiping him . Literally every time his diaper is off he pees all over himself and bed. Idk what I’m doing 😭😭

Also forgot to add we have been using huggies little snugglers
