A lot of people say that in order to move
on, you need to cut ties. i feel like i need to but at the same time i feel like we would work as friends. tho, idk how i would feel if they suddenly say they’re talking to others again or idk. i know for the romantic feelings to go away, we need space for that happen but i feel lonely if i don’t talk fo them. idk what to do. they say they want me in their life but what does that even mean

I’m still friends with my ex but it takes time. If you just got out of a relationship don’t automatically go straight to friends. You need space from each other. Months. Separation is key. Then later down the road when you’re ready I would say go for it. I’m friends with my ex and it took a lot of separation for me to get to that point. After broke up we were friends in a way but I was always upset when it came to other girls and we still were having sex. It was toxic and unhealthy and I didn’t see it cuz I just wanted to be friends with him. But after months of separation and realizing my self worth. I didn’t mind being friends with him and having friendly conversations now. You just need time to focus on you’re self and loving you at the end of the day.
