Gofundme questions?

I know gofundme isn’t allowed on here & this isn’t me posting a link or anything. Just questions. But two of my dogs just recently got hit by a car & the person who did it, took off & ran.. it’s over $2,000 in vet medical bills & my boyfriend & I have spent all of our savings on their medical bills & they still have vet appointments to come .. They were diagnosed with mild pneumothorax & pulmonary contusions.. we are struggling, would it be acceptable to make a godfundme to ask for donations & post it on other social media, if ppl can help.? I hate even remotely ever asking ppl for help. I tried applying for a payment plan with them, they don’t do payment plans & also tried applying for their credit care & got denied for that..
